Canyon Lake

Canyon Lake is a reservoir located in the Tonto National Forest in central Arizona. It is approximately 45 miles east of Phoenix and 14 miles north-northeast of the city of Apache Junction. The lake was formed by the Mormon Flat Dam, which was completed in 1925, and is a popular destination for boating, fishing, and water sports. The lake is surrounded by steep canyon walls and offers scenic views and hiking opportunities. The Canyon Lake Marina provides boat rentals, fishing licenses, and supplies, as well as a restaurant and bar. There are also several campgrounds and picnic areas around the lake.
